* Was a sergeant in the U.S. Army and one of the Army's top photojournalists; winner of the Keith L. Ware Award for Best Army Photojournalist, 2004.

* Other Stuff: David's parents, sister, brother-in-law and very adorable niece, Sophie (three-years-old) live in Birmingham, Ala.; his father is a professor and author; while in the Army, won two silver medals in an Army powerlifting competition; feels he is most like Samantha of the characters on "Sex and the City."
